StretchLab is seeking an experienced sales professional to serve as Senior Membership Coordinator, overseeing the sales cycle and member retention procedures. StretchLab Long Beach Marina is located in the Long Beach Marketplace shopping center at Pacific Coast Highway and 2nd Street.
POSITION
The successful Senior Membership Coordinator will oversee membership sales at the Long Beach Marina studio. The successful candidate will work closely with the Area Manager, Lead Flexologist, and Owner to ensure that member attrition is kept low and membership sales continue to grow. The Sr. MC will also assist with retaining current members. Fitness knowledge or background is preferred. The Senior Membership Coordinator will report directly to the Area Manager.

Job Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt; Full-Time or Part-Time.
Pay: $18 - $25 per hour, dependent on experience, skills, and qualifications. Bonus-eligible.

Experience: Membership Sales: 2 years (Required).
Fitness Industry: 1 year (Preferred).
Work Location: Long Beach Marina studio; limited work from home, as approved by supervisor.
Supervisor: Area Manager.

DUTIES
- Lead generation through grassroots partnerships, which includes planning, staffing, and executing on marketing events such as health fairs, grand openings, marathons, golf tournaments, business collaborations, and community and hospital events to promote the Long Beach Marina studio; assist with Surf City events when there is territory overlap.
- Implement and refine the membership sales process to schedule prospective members into Introductory sessions; then convert them to paid memberships.
- Work closely with management team, Membership Coordinators and Flexologists to implement successful sales strategies through their respective supervisors.
- Build and maintain proficiency in the studio’s CRM, ClubReady, to enter contacts, keep client health information confidential, and handle financial transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Enthusiastically greet members / visitors as they arrive and assist them with their visit.
- Maintain daily studio cleanliness and organization, with particular attention to following all COVID-19-related safety and cleanliness procedures.
- Schedule appointments with clients, prospects, and visitors through ClubReady.
- Represent StretchLab, RocosiStretch, Inc., and Xponential Fitness in a professional manner with enthusiasm and positive energy.
- Related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of membership sales experience in a fitness / wellness environment.
- Confidence in generating personal sales and exceeding shared goals, including net memberships, lower freeze rate, and lower attrition rates.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Trustworthy, with a commitment to upholding company policy, keeping to defined procedures, and securing confidential information.
- Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general public.
- Proficiency with computers and studio software, building to mastery of these tools.
- Must be able to work some evening and weekend hours.
- Ability to stand or sit for the duration of the shift.
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills via in-person, phone, email, text messaging and other channels; bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Solid writing and grammar skills, with an attention to detail and accuracy.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- This position offers a competitive base rate; based on experience & performance, and is bonus-eligible based on shared metrics.
- Commission paid on first month membership sales, and sales from the store boutique.
- Monthly free stretches, when Flexologists’ schedules permits.
